We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Head of Business Development - Civilian.
You’ll play a critical role in driving revenue growth and expanding The MTC's Civilian Sector market share. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic, results-focused Head of Business Development with a proven track record of success in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
This position will suit an individual with strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, as well as a deep understanding of the industry and competitive landscape.
You’ll be responsible for leading, inspiring, and developing a team of fifteen people.
You’ll manage key stakeholder relationships both externally and internally, including working closely with the Managing Director, Civilian, and Director of Business Development.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of business development professionals. Foster a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
2. Revenue Growth: Drive initiatives to achieve sales targets through new client acquisition, upselling, and cross-selling. Oversee the development of proposals and pitches to secure new business.
3. Performance Metrics: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities. Use data to make informed decisions and adjust strategies accordingly.
4. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies aimed at expanding the company’s footprint and revenue. Identify and evaluate market trends, the competitive landscape, and potential growth areas.
This position will suit an experienced Head of Business Development with extensive experience in the Civilian Industry sectors — prime contractors and/or their supply chain.

Desirable:
* Experience with Miller-Heiman methodology is desirable.
* Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering related subjects; an MBA or similar advanced degree is highly desirable.
