Our client is seeking a dedicated Finance Manager to join their team in Doncaster. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide crucial support to the Managing Director and wider Group function.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire finance function within the entity. Furthermore, they will engage in ongoing reporting and provide insightful perspectives on critical cost areas across the Profit and Loss statement. This multifaceted role contributes significantly to the achievement of the organisation's financial and strategic objectives.
* Offer crucial support to the Managing Director and the Group FD
* Deliver precise and punctual financial information essential for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
* Engage in ongoing analysis and provide insightful perspectives on critical cost areas
What you'll do:
As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing in-depth financial analysis and valuable insights. You will assist in:
* Support with the production of accurate accounts and financial information in a timely manner.
* Monthly management reporting including financial information for board meetings and group reporting.
* Oversee VAT and Payroll within the entity.
* Attend cross functional meetings / forums to engage and support with provision of financial information related to the development of projects & initiatives.
* Preparation of interim and year-end financial disclosure packs
* Execute the preparation of essential statistical and statutory reports as per directives
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager position should have proven demonstrable significant experience of working in a finance related role. They should have a sound knowledge and understanding of IFRS and the operational environment. They must be well organised, an effective communicator, both written and oral, and possess good interpersonal skills. They must be able to work under their own initiative and effectively manage their own workload. They must have experience in the provision and analysis of accurate, timely financial information.
* Ideally qualified accountant with proven demonstrable significant experience of working in a finance related role
* Sound knowledge and understanding of the operational environment would be an advantage
* Well organised, effective communicator, both written and oral, possessing good interpersonal skills
* Ability to work under own initiative and effectively manage their own workload
* Experience in the provision and analysis of accurate, timely financial information
* IT literate with detailed knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office products
* IFRS exposure
