St Leonard's Hospice is recruiting a Finance Manager to support the newly-created Head of Finance role, providing comprehensive financial management support to ensure accurate accounting of the Hospice's finances. This is a great opportunity as we celebrate our 40th anniversary and embark on a digital transformation, working closely with key stakeholders on organizational projects.
Main duties of the job
As a member of the Finance Team, your main priorities will be to:
1. Oversee the daily operations of the finance department, ensuring proper maintenance of accounting and payroll systems.
2. Support the Head of Finance in producing timely and accurate financial reports.
3. Depending on experience, work closely with or line manage the finance team.
4. Be responsible for all aspects of financial control and fraud prevention.
Minimum requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Recent and relevant experience in financial processes including purchase ledger, bookkeeping, and payroll.
* Experience with electronic payroll and finance systems.
* Ability to review and improve financial procedures for efficiency.
* A collaborative working style.
* Resilience, the ability to work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
