Our client, one of the UK's leading automotive tyre and fast-fit centre groups, is seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join their busy Trowbridge centre. Duties of the MOT Tester:
* Conduct MOT tests in accordance with Government standards, ensuring vehicle safety and compliance
* Support customers through the MOT process by providing updates, explaining reasons for failures, and advising on necessary repairs
* Diagnose and carry out associated service and repair work where applicable
* Maintain comprehensive records of tests and repairs as an MOT Tester
* Support workshop team with general repair and maintenance tasks to ensure smooth workshop operations
* Liaise effectively with team members to ensure an efficient workflow and exceptional customer service
* Ensure the workshop maintains high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organisation as an MOT Tester
Requirements:
* Hold an active Class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence
* Possess a valid UK driving licence with minimal points
* Ideally qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair; individuals with substantial vehicle mechanic experience and an active MOT licence will also be considered
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Strong organisational skills and a commitment to high-quality work
* Proven experience in vehicle inspection and repair within a fast-paced environment
