Position Title: Home Delivery Vehicle Service Engineer
Location: This role is fully remote and you will be expected to cover the whole of England. However, candidates based in central or northern England are preferred for logistical convenience. Successful candidates will be required to complete 4 weeks training at the Hull site.
Reporting to: Manager/Supervisor/Team Leader
Hours of work: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday between 05:00 to 19:00
Salary: From £16.00 per hour

Job Overview The role of Home Delivery Vehicle Service Engineer will include travelling to customers’ sites and in some cases vehicles at road site to carry out repairs to mechanical, electrical, vehicle body work & plumbing.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Warranty and service repair work, mechanical and electrical including body repairs.
* On-site services to Paneltex products.
* Work unsupervised in conjunction with all health and safety legislation and in accordance with industry standards whilst using own initiative to overcome any problems which may arise whilst on site.
* Provide detailed & accurate reports including photos.
* Promote Paneltex brand & services whilst actively looking to generate new service work enquiries.
* Using company computer packages systems (Sage CRM, Microsoft Office) Full training will be given.
* Responsible for monitoring the service inbox over the weekend and making decisions on attending the call out or delegating to repair agents.
* Be familiar with the company’s Health and Safety Policies and in particular with your responsibilities.
* Comply with all relevant internal rules, policies and procedures, included in the company handbook.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* The ideal candidate will have experience of the body building industry and service/warranty related work.
* The suitable candidate must be qualified mechanically and electrically and/or trained in other body building or related service disciplines and demonstrate a proven track record of working in the service environment.
* Must be well presented with good interpersonal skills as this is a client-facing role.
* Effective communication includes speaking, writing, active listening and taking instructions.
* Ability to prioritise and organise workload in order to meet deadlines.
* Good understanding of Health and Safety.
* Excellent work ethic and team player.
* Excellent timekeeping and attendance.
* Flexible approach to working additional hours when required.
Qualifications:
* Commercial vehicle bodybuilding, van conversions using insulated panels experience
* Mechanical and electrical experience are essential.
