An exciting opportunity for a dynamic Senior Nurse/Clinical Matron at Frimley Park Hospital, covering Older People’s Medicine wards and stroke wards.
Main Duties
* Report to the Deputy Head of Nursing in the delivery of high-quality patient care, promote patient safety and provide good patient experiences across the rehab wards at Frimley Park Hospital.
* Work alongside the Deputy Head of Nursing in supporting the delivery of our strategic ambitions within the Directorate.
Qualifications
Essential Criteria
* NMC Registered Nurse.
* Degree level education or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through any combination of alternative study, or employment experience.
* Recognised teaching and assessing qualification.
* Management certificate or equivalent experience.
Desirable Criteria
* Post registration qualification or University Degree.
* Master’s degree or equivalent experience gained by undertaking ongoing personal development and training.
* Management/Leadership Qualification.
Experience
Essential Criteria
* Demonstrable experience Significant experience at senior clinical/managerial level.
* Experience of working as a clinical leader.
* Proven leadership and management skills.
* Experience of caseload management including responsibility for complex care packages for vulnerable people.
* Involvement in the implementation and management of change.
Skills & Knowledge
Essential Criteria
* Understands the concepts of clinical governance and shared governance including evidence based practice and critical appraisal of research findings.
* Demonstrates knowledge of effective risk management.
* Knowledge and experience of management models, implementing change and/or new clinical practices and current professional issues.
* Ability to organise and prioritise own workload.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
