About the Role
PER has partnered with a highly successful growth equity investor that is looking to hire a Portfolio Finance Lead with FP&A experience to join during an exciting period of growth. This is a growth hire responsible for financial analysis, cash management, performance, and commercial finance support across the portfolio. The role involves partnering with portfolio finance teams to establish robust financial controls and KPI management, supporting the investment process through financial due diligence on new acquisitions, and managing relationships with vendors to drive the commercial finance roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with portfolio company CFOs and finance teams to navigate scale-up challenges and ensure best practices.
* Collaborate with transaction leads and portfolio executives to implement KPI reporting and monitor performance through internal metrics and MI reporting.
* Ensure growth plans include realistic capital allocations for portfolio finance team development.
* Analyze portfolio finance controls, support implementation of change and growth initiatives.
* Assist in financial analysis of new assets' strengths and opportunities.
* Proactively monitor portfolio financial statements and drive necessary changes.
* Oversee cash levels and plan proactively for cash management, protective measures, or fundraising.
* Manage internal reporting frameworks to support strategic decision-making.
* Maintain and enhance the internal database of financial information, coordinating with external providers.
* Work with finance teams to improve MI for strategic value creation.
* Ensure seamless onboarding and system integration for new portfolio finance teams.
Candidate Profile
* Qualified Accountant
* Experience in FP&A within a growing organization, preferably in technology, consumer, or manufacturing sectors.
* Strong analytical skills with a focus on cash management.
* Forensic approach to financial reporting.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
* Interest in business growth, strategy, and commerciality.
