Process Microbiologist LOCATION COMPANY JOB FIELD JOB CONDITIONS JOB ID LOCATION COMPANY JOB FIELD JOB CONDITIONS JOB ID The BASF Agricultural Specialities Limited production site in Littlehampton, produces industry leading biological pest control products formulated from beneficial nematodes. These products are used by farmers and growers across the globe in agricultural, protected ornamental and home and garden markets. RESPONSIBILITIES As Process Microbiologist your responsibilities will include: Working as part of the process and development team, your main responsibilities will be ensuring the preparation and maintenance of the starter cultures for all the BASF nematodes and rhizobium bacteria. Your other roles will include; isolation and storage of the symbiotic bacteria from the nematodes. Creation of new culture lines as required. Ensure all processes are completed to the highest standards in accordance with Health and Safety and Operating procedures. QUALIFICATIONS A degree in Microbiology or other relevant Bioscience degree. You will have previous laboratory experience and worked to standard operating procedures and health and safety requirements. You must have excellent attention to detail and a highly developed organisational skills. In addition you will be a confident and decisive individual who is able to work on their own initiative as well as someone who works well as part of a team. It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of Microsoft office software packages.
