Legal Secretary – Luton
Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced Legal Secretary in Luton to join a reputable law firm within their Private Client department. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a full-time, office-based position supporting solicitors in a busy, fast-paced environment.
📍 Location: Luton
đź’· Salary: ÂŁ26, per annum + excellent benefits package
⏰ Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
📌 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive secretarial support to solicitors within the Private Client department
2. Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and forms with high accuracy
3. Handle audio typing and fast-paced dictation work
4. Maintain and organise client files and records
5. Liaise with clients professionally both in person and over the phone
6. Ensure deadlines are met and all work is completed to a high standard
Essential Skills & Experience:
7. Previous experience as a legal secretary within a firm of solicitors is essential
8. A legal secretarial qualification is highly desirable
9. Proficient in fast, accurate audio typing
10. Strong organisational and time-management skills
11. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work well as part of a team
