We are looking for an experienced adult therapist to join our friendly and supportive team as part of a maternity leave cover. You will be based at the Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway, Lewis and will assist the manager in providing a dedicated service to adults with acquired disorders of communication and swallowing across acute and community settings. You will be dysphagia trained and have experience independently managing an adult neuro dysphagia caseload. Ideally, you will have experience delivering aphasia rehabilitation and providing specialist AAC interventions for adults with progressive neurological conditions. In return, you will have access to inhouse learning and development opportunities including Videofluoroscopy and clinical supervision. The Western Isles are a beautiful archipelago of islands stretching from Lewis in the north to Vatersay in the south offering a safe and pleasant environment to live, breathe and work in. Housing costs and crime rates are relatively low. There are daily travel connections to the mainland via air and ferry. A car driver is required due to the requirement to provide home visits.
