About this Role:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced / ambitious Project Planner to work with the Regional Office of this busy national main contractor group, based in Reigate, but covering work across the Hampshire/Surrey/Sussex
Working within the team, you will be mainly be focussed on visiting sites, the review of progress against programme, accurate progress reporting and supporting the teams on these live projects. You will retain an overall monitoring capacity to ensure construction plans are created, updated and amended in line with project needs.
You will advise on the effects of any progress slippage on existing programmes and update accordingly.
You will also have some programme input to multiple projects at tender, second stage preconstruction and through construction phase. You will be responsible for producing detailed and fully linked programmes of construction works, resource charts, logistics plans, plus have input to methodology, and lead-ins for design and procurement.
The suggested split will be roughyl 70% live projects focus to 30% tender and preconstruction input.
The role will have flexibilty for agile working, with 3-4 days on site / office and 1-2 days working from home.
About the Company/Client/Project:
The role is with the Reigate regional office of this busy main contractor covering projects in the Hampshire, Surrey, and Sussex areas.
Projects typically range from £25m to £50+m in value in the healthcare, student accommodation, aviation, blue light, commercial and residential sectors.
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
You will ideally be an experienced Project Planner with 5+ years of experience in the role for a main contractor; Ideally from an Engineering and site management / project management background. You will possess clear communication skills, planning and problem-solving ability, technical knowledge with excellent attention to detail, and a positive, 'get it right first time' approach.
Experience of and ability to use ASTA Powerproject is essential, plus the ability to effectively program construction activities for projects and previous practical site experience to support this.
You will possess sound technical knowledge together with the experience of working with a large project construction team, and the ability to work with multiple teams across 2-3 projects concurrently.
