Assist with the effective provision of Instrumental instruction to individuals and groups of pupils within an educational environment to promote, deliver, and integrate the Council’s key objectives, including the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.
Requirements
The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants must become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member or have an existing PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal offer of employment is made by East Ayrshire Council.
PVG records are continually updated. Any relevant information disclosed on a PVG Scheme Record will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a temporary, full-time position within the Instrumental Service, based at Stewarton Academy and supporting other educational establishments across East Ayrshire.
Candidates should be prepared to teach lessons; piano skills are desirable.
The hours are 35 per week, until 30 June 2026.
The salary range is £35,190 - £46,773.
