About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP & YOI Hollesley Bay, a category D Prison located in the village of Hollesley, near Woodbridge in Suffolk. In this role you'll be working with a multi‑disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.
Hours
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday: 07:00am - 15:00pm / 08:15am-16:15pm
Salary
Full time, annual salary up to £33,510 per annum, depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
* Ensuring timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost‑effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy.
* Work together to make a difference to all the people we support, and make Practice Plus Group a place where each of us feels appreciated, challenged and supported to do our best work – fulfilling the lives of others.
* Communicate complex or sensitive information whilst demonstrating empathy and understanding to patients.
* Share information relating to pharmaceutical products, medicines optimisation, drug regimes, medicines legislation and general health education so that the multidisciplinary healthcare team are appropriately informed.

Qualifications & Experience

* Hold NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications and have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC).
* Have relevant post‑qualification experience working within a pharmacy environment and multi‑disciplinary team.
* Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures.
