If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Randstad Education is seeking a skilled and resilient SEN/SEMH Teacher for a rewarding role in the Bradford area. We are looking for someone to work with a dedicated team, providing vital support to young children.


Key Responsibilities

As an SEN/SEMH Teacher, your role is crucial to the success and well-being of the pupils. You will be responsible for:

* Designing and delivering a curriculum that is specifically adapted to meet the diverse academic and emotional needs of pupils with SEN and SEMH challenges.
* Using effective de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations and maintain a calm and focused learning environment.
* Providing consistent emotional support to pupils, acting as a trusted adult they can rely on for guidance and stability.
* Working hand-in-hand with teaching assistants and external professionals to provide holistic support for pupils.
* Meticulously tracking and reporting on pupils' progress against their individualised education plans.


Requirements

To succeed in this position, you must possess:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A proven background in teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
* Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).
* The legal right to work in the UK without any restrictions.
* A naturally patient and resilient approach.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships.
* Specific training in areas such as Team Teach, Makaton, or PECS is highly desirable.
