The post-holder will be the lead officer for business support functions within the secondary school and allocated primary/ASN schools. Responsibilities include establishing, maintaining, and developing management information systems to support financial, staffing, and resource management.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate previous experience operating at a senior level, with involvement in either financial management or human resources within an education setting. Experience in budget management/monitoring and business support in a school environment is essential.
Applicants should be educated to SCQF Level 7 in a business-related subject. A degree or professional qualification in finance or human resources is highly desirable, along with experience in leading a team within an education setting.
This position is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment by West Lothian Council.
