About the Role:
On behalf of our client, awell-established and forward-thinking manufacturer, we are looking toappoint an experienced Production & Scheduling Planner tosupport their growing operations team. This is a key role, focused onensuring production schedules are met, resources are effectivelyallocated, and communication between departments remains clear andconsistent.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strongbackground in production planning who enjoys working in a fast-pacedenvironment and has a talent for organisation and collaboration.
Main Responsibilities:
* Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage detailedproduction schedules in line with customer requirements and companyobjectives. Work closely with departments including Sales,Procurement, Design, and Manufacturing to ensure smooth execution.
* Interdepartmental Liaison: Maintain clear andproactive communication across teams to synchronise planning efforts,resolve scheduling issues, and provide status updates.
* Order Review & Delivery Commitments: Assess incomingsales orders and confirm feasible delivery dates. Support in trackingproject and product contracts, and assist with cost estimation.
* Repairs Scheduling: Approve and plan customer repairwork, ensuring capacity and turnaround times are well managed.
* Issue Resolution: Identify potential delays orbottlenecks in production and implement corrective actions to maintainworkflow efficiency.
* Reporting: Compile and analysereports on production performance, providing insights to help driveimprovements.
* Continuous Improvement: Contribute toinitiatives aimed at streamlining operations, reducing costs, andenhancing product quality.
What We’reLooking For:
* Education: Degree in SupplyChain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalenthands-on industry experience.
* Experience: 2–3 years’experience in a similar production planning or scheduling role withina manufacturing environment.
* Technical Skills: Strongproficiency with planning systems and Microsoft Office, particularlyExcel. Experience with ERP software is highly advantageous.
* Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data,forecast accurately, and make informed decisions to support productionefficiency.
* Process Knowledge: Familiar withmanufacturing processes and lean/continuous improvement methodologies.
* Communication: Clear and confident communicator,capable of building strong working relationships across multipledepartments.
* Attention to Detail: High level ofaccuracy and organisation when managing schedules and monitoringoutput.
* Problem-Solving: A proactive approach toidentifying challenges and delivering effective, practical solutions.
