Supply Chain Quality Specialist Carbon60 are looking for a Supply Chain Quality Specialist for their aerospace client based in Filton. The successful person will act as a Project Manager for New Product Introduction & transfer of work, provide quality support to the supply chain quality managers. You will join the Sheet Metal Parts Procurement department (PIMDT) and will report to the Head of the team. The team is responsible for supplying sheet metal parts to Manufacturing sites ensuring time and quality goals are met. About the Role You will be a key point of contact for suppliers on New Product Introduction (NPI) and transfers of works (ToW) implementation and therefore strong communication skills are a must in this role. Your main responsibility as a Supply Chain Quality Specialist on NPI and ToW would be to ensure a transfer of parts from a supplier A to supplier B for example and/or to introduce (purchase) new products meeting key quality and time requirements. In addition, you will support the procurement operations led by the supply chain quality managers for the recurrent quality issues by challenging root cause analyses provided by suppliers, auditing their industrial maturity and following recovery actions. Responsibilities Contribute to the Multi-Functional Team (MFT) strategic decisions and suppliers selection Participate in call for tender preparations leading up to supplier selection Assess supplier capacity, capability and performance and contribute to supplier development Ensure industrial qualification maturity are completed before serial phase Ensure suppliers and products meet the relevant compliance regulations (EASA/ASR etc) Perform Risk Management and early warnings to MFT and Management (follow and perform APQP methods = Advanced Product Quality Planning for all the ToW & NPI projects) Involve other specialists from the Supply Chain when needed such as qualification specialists, supplier development manager and auditors Manage service subcontractors on projects Supply chain quality managers support: Verify and support compliance to applicable requirements and secure convergence to industrial maturity targets (quality fundamentals, Change Notification, FAI check, Transfer of Work) Support the SCQM on the surveillance plan definition and follow-up Be involved with SCQM and manage the non-conformities (8D, 9S), Events, SARI (SAfety Related Item)s and QSR (Quality Survey Report) resolutions with suppliers and customers Analyse quality data and co-ordinate and implement recovery, improvement and development plan in order to secure deliveries Qualifications Experience in project management (LBIP) The ability to manage supplier relationships on a daily basis Quality knowledge in particular APQP and QSR/SARI, Concession, NC could be a plus Risk analysis experience Required Skills Strong communication skills Project management experience Supplier relationship management Able to work within a fast paced, multi functional team environment Preferred Skills Knowledge of APQP and QSR/SARI Experience within manufacturing, aerospace or automotive industries Pay range £40 per hour (through an umbrella company) PAYE rates also available Contract position (expected end date February 2026) Please note there may be nationality restrictions for this role.
