What is the job? Working within our Tables Business Unit as the Inventory Controller, you will be responsible for overall stock accuracy, root cause analysis of stock inaccuracies and control of all inventory data. You will deliver training within the team that will ensure high levels of transaction and stock accuracy. You will work closely with both the Tables Management Team, Finance and all shop floor teams, to ensure all products are accounted for and any inventory issues are resolved efficiently. Requirements What is essential to us… Experience of working in a manufacturing inventory control position with responsibility for maintaining high levels of stock accuracy. Degree in Engineering related field or equivalent experience or qualifications is highly desirable. A proven track record of improving stock accuracy and managing cycle count audit programs Good understanding and practical knowledge of modern stock control systems Working knowledge of ERP Systems Inventory Management Processes (Microsoft Dynamics ideally) Excellent attention to detail Receptive to new challenges and expanding current knowledge. Positive contribution to multi-departmental initiatives and process improvements Ability to multitask, time manage and work independently Good communication skills What we would like you to do/ to see… Complete a regular component stock cycle count as part of the audit program for the Tables Business Unit Investigate the reasons for stock inaccuracy and action stock reconciliations Work with Logistics and Production teams to contribute to LEAN Manufacturing projects that optimise racking storage space and reduce stock variants Generate monthly reports on Stock Accuracy and Stock ‘Write-Off’ Performance data Review and complete training programs for the Tables Business Unit employees that ensure the right approach and processes are associated with all stock movements and transactions Ensure the correct management, control and review of scrap allowances and provide training as required Work collaboratively with the Logistics, Purchasing and Planning teams to ensure that our stock management systems promote the control of inventory through good visual management Process stock adjustment, transfer and movement journals in Microsoft Dynamics while retaining required audit trail for such transactions Interact with Suppliers and Vendors to promote LEAN principles, such as smaller batch quantities on a more frequent basis Promote the elimination of waste within the Tables Business Unit What will you get?
