GSL Education are seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Derbyshire.
As an EYFS TA, you will play a vital role in supporting children during their early years of education. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in helping children build a strong foundation for their future education.
Key Responsibilities as an EYFS Teaching Assistant:
* Support children within Early Years settings, helping them to engage with activities and routines.
* Assist the class teacher in creating a stimulating, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
* Deliver 1:1 and small group support, focusing on early literacy, numeracy, and social development.
* Encourage curiosity, independence, and confidence in pupils.
* Support children with additional needs to ensure they are fully included in learning.
Requirements for EYFS Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience working with EYFS pupils or young children in a school/nursery setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting early development.
* An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with gaps explained.
