The Role
As Head of Global Parts Operations, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies for all global spare parts operations—ensuring timely and accurate parts availability. Your scope includes forecasting, supplier management, warehousing, logistics, and dealer support, all aimed at enhancing the customer ownership experience.
This pivotal role directly influences customer satisfaction and drives global commercial growth through effective parts availability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Parts Supply Chain Leadership
2. Lead global procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution functions.
3. Develop and implement an efficient, agile, and cost-effective global parts supply chain strategy.
4. Align operations with broader Aftersales goals to support vehicle uptime, customer retention, and revenue growth.
Inventory Planning & Availability
1. Oversee forecasting, planning, and replenishment to meet market demand while minimizing excess stock.
2. Monitor KPIs such as availability rates, backorders, lead times, and SLAs.
3. Collaborate with regional teams to proactively manage inventory and respond to market changes.
Dealer Support & Service Excellence
1. Work closely with dealer networks to understand demand and seasonal trends.
2. Ensure timely, accurate parts delivery to support high first-time fix rates and customer service.
3. Promote a customer-first culture within the parts ecosystem, maintaining quality and service standards.
Operational Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
1. Drive operational excellence through process improvements and automation.
2. Manage partnerships with logistics providers to ensure global reach and service consistency.
3. Analyze performance data, identify bottlenecks, and implement resilience strategies.
Leadership & Collaboration
1. Lead and develop a high-performing global parts team.
2. Collaborate across departments to align part supply with product development and service needs.
3. Manage operational risks and stakeholder expectations proactively.
About You
* 8-12+ years of leadership experience in global supply chain, logistics, or parts operations, preferably in automotive, motorcycles, or related industries.
* Deep knowledge of aftermarket parts lifecycle, forecasting, and inventory management.
* Experience managing complex multi-market distribution networks.
* Strong commercial acumen and customer-centric approach.
* Proficiency with ERP, WMS, and inventory planning systems.
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Attention to detail and passion for continuous improvement.
