This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering strategic and operational HR services across pay and reward, policy development, job evaluation, and terms and conditions. You will lead a specialist team, providing authoritative advice on complex pay and policy issues, supporting managers and senior leaders in making informed decisions, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation and staff governance standards. This role will also act as the management-side Job Evaluation Lead for the organisation. The postholder has a wide ranging portfolio and as such there is a need for strong leadership and team management skills in addition to having excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret and present complex data. Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job: You should be educated to master level in human resources (or equivocal experience) with Chartered membership of CIPD (or equivalent professional body) and have substantial experience as a senior HR practitioner in a large, complex, multi-unionised organisation. To succeed in this role you will have demonstrable in-depth knowledge of employment legislation and preferably be familiar with specific NHS workforce policy and terms and conditions. You will also highly developed communication skills to enable effective collaboration and partnership working with a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation utilising effective negotiation and influencing skills.
