Contract: Permanent
Salary: £35,000 + 19% shift allowance for mid shift
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, mid shift: Monday Friday, 3pm 10:15pm

Key Responsibilities:
5. Set, operate, and maintain CNC lathes, milling machines, and grinders
6. Adjust tool offsets and datums to ensure precision machining
7. Carry out detailed inspections using CMM machines and attribute gauges
8. Work within the Bearing Housing machining area, supporting multiple CNC processes and machine types as part of a multi-skilled team
9. Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency
Qualifications:
10. Proven experience in CNC turning and milling of metal components
11. Hands-on machining experience with a strong understanding of precision tolerances and measuring equipment
12. Proactive mindset with strong initiative and problem-solving ability
13. Effective communication skills, with the ability to support and train others
14. Strong sense of accountability and commitment to team objectives
15. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
16. Experience within a machine shop environment
Desirable Skills & Experience
17. CNC programming knowledge
18. Apprenticeship-trained CNC machinist
19. Experience with CNC grinding, CMM operation, and robotics/cobots
