Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Do you have a calm, resilient, and compassionate approach to learning support? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting dedicated Full-Time Teaching Assistants to work in SEMH schools in the Leigh area.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils who need extra guidance with their emotional and behavioural development, helping them to access learning and thrive in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
* Supporting students aged 7–16 with SEMH needs, on a 1:1 or small group basis
* Assisting the teacher in delivering a tailored curriculum
* Helping students develop social and emotional skills through patience, encouragement, and consistency
* Managing behaviour in line with school policies
* Working closely with SENCOs, therapists, and other professionals
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience working with young people, ideally with SEMH or SEN needs
* A nurturing and proactive attitude
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
* The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Team Teach or other relevant training (desirable, but training can be provided)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
