Markets Operations at Citi has embarked on a significant, multi-year transformation covering all aspects of designing and delivering a future state target operating model: risk and controls, regulatory compliance, process re-engineering, automation, people and culture, data transformation, technology investment and client service. This is a large and complex undertaking. The Markets Operations Transformation team has been formed to support stakeholders both within Operations and across the bank, to design and deliver this multi-year transformation roadmap. Our transformation is underpinned by strategy, investment, change execution and a market-leading operations change delivery team focusing on programme and project management, business analysis, process re-engineering, low code application development and PMO. Role Overview: The Global Head of FX is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of the Global FX Middle Office team in an effort to process orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of securities and derivatives transactions. The Global Head of FX will oversee global teams managing this function, focused on driving consistency, efficiency and ensuring the teams have effective risk management and regulatory processes in place. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in financial markets, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage a diverse team across different time zones. What you'll do: Act as a strategic partner with all potential stakeholders in onboarding new and complex commodities transactions, ensuring procedures are properly embedded, supported and risk managed on an ongoing basis. Serve as an analytical and procedural expert in the full trade life cycle while supporting a wide range of internal and external clients. Assist with the planning of actions and resources to support new business. Manage complex and variable operations related issues (e.g. across trade booking / settlement / confirmations / etc.), define and communicate problems, develop innovative solutions, streamline processes and lead change-the-bank initiatives. Closely follow trends in the industry, identify cost saving opportunities and build effective relationships with clients and key stakeholders. Increase scale and efficiencies by analyzing and presenting data to develop new solutions and oversee the integrity of process. Assist with overseeing the risk control environment, compliance efforts to follow policies and procedures and keep abreast of Citi's operational processes and best practices in business strategy. Serve as an advisor and coach to staff on procedures and work processes across multiple departments.
