Job Title: Bill of Materials Analyst
Salary: £39,000 - £48,000 (depending on experience)
Location : Peterborough

An exciting position is available within the Assembly, Test and Finish Facility, reporting to the Quality and Manufacturing Engineering Manager. ATF is our engine manufacturing plant, where we Assemble, Test and Finish our engines. This includes a wide variety of manufacturing assembly processes, including leak test, hot engine test, painting and an extensive range of assembly controls. The facility consists of 4 assembly tracks, 3 hot test facilities and 6 finish facilities where we final dress the and finish paint the engines.
Job Opportunity
The role is a critical step in the process of creating the structure within Team Centre for new products and also implementing process changes to existing products. The role will interact with local manufacturing engineers, local product planners and manufacturing change coordinators amongst others. The MBOM Configurator will be expected to author and manage change capability in the systems required for implementing complex engineering changes. This is a new role within the manufacturing engineering team as we transition to a new system and so the incumbent will have the opportunity to become a subject matter expert within the role and optimise the processes.
The successful candidate for this position will be a dedicated, self-motivated individual who will work in a highly responsive production environment. They will be responsible for managing local changes in BOM structures and will develop end to end process knowledge to support the local planning team.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
6. Perform Manufacturing Bill Of Material maintenance with creation of new manufacturing items such as Re-usable Groups, Re-usable Packs and Re-usable Items
7. Execute Bill Of Material and Item interface workflows to send data to Data Interface 3
8. Perform Templating process for all manufacturing items to send manufacturing items to Enterprise Resource Planning from Teamcenter
9. Validation of all released items to Enterprise Resource Planning to ensure data is set up correctly in Enterprise Resource Planning
10. Adding JT files to Manufacturing Bill Of Material manufacturing items
11. Adding product configurator rules on new groups using configuration for Enterprise Bill Of Process
12. Add relevant Position Designators for local plant requirements on Manufacturing Bill Of Material items
13. Liaise with Manufacturing change coordinator & product / plant Bill Of Process planner to implement design & process changes
14. Maintain relevant training aids & Standard Work Instructions in line with document control procedures
What You Have:
ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning): Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; ability to design and implement ERP systems for managing an organization's internal and external resources and facilitating the flow of information between various business functions.
Level Extensive Experience:
Manufacturing Application Systems: Knowledge of company and industry databases and applications used in a manufacturing environment; ability to operate, maintain and update these systems.
Level Working Knowledge:
Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP): Knowledge of the processes, practices and systems used in manufacturing requirements planning (MRP); ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability.
