An exceptional SEMH school in Bromley is seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from ASAP!
About the Role
You will be supporting a KS2 all-boys class, working closely with the class teacher and wider support team to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and develop key social and emotional skills.
Your role will involve:
1. Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils to support engagement and wellbeing
2. Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner
3. Providing one-to-one and small group support in class and during structured activities
4. Supporting the delivery of tailored learning and behaviour support plans
5. Encouraging positive behaviour, self-esteem, and resilience in every pupil
