Job Title: Choice Based Lettings Advisor

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Housing Team at Cheshire West and Chester Council as a Choice Based Lettings Advisor.
Role Overview
The Choice Based Lettings Officer works as part of a small team delivering the West Cheshire Homes service. This involves processing and verifying housing register applications, and providing housing advice to residents of Cheshire West who are in housing need.
Key Responsibilities
1. Providing excellent customer care through telephone, face-to-face, and web-based communication.
2. Supporting customers with West Cheshire Homes applications and bidding activity.
3. Responding to enquiries related to West Cheshire Homes.
4. Learning and managing new processes efficiently.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in managing a busy workload within a multi-disciplinary service.
* Proficiency in IT systems for inputting and managing customer information.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Knowledge of housing and homelessness policies, statutory responsibilities, and housing options.
Additional Information
This role is primarily based in the office, with current arrangements including home-based working. The role requires flexibility to work at the most effective locations and times, considering the needs of the task, customer, individual, and team.
