We have an exciting opportunity for two Non-Medical Prescribers (NMPs) to join our vibrant Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership in Boston and Grantham. Launching in April 2024, this partnership combines the strengths of Turning Point, Framework, and Double Impact to deliver exceptional substance use treatment and recovery services across Lincolnshire.
Our Recovery First model is at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that lived experience and recovery are fully integrated into our services. By joining us, you'll be part of a highly localized approach that supports residents with multiple issues throughout Lincolnshire.
As a community-based NMP or Pharmacist Prescriber, you'll empower individuals to change their lives while receiving support to enhance your own. Join a friendly, multidisciplinary team where you can truly make the role your own!
Your Role and Responsibilities
In this dynamic role, you will:
* Conduct opiate substitute treatment (OST) interventions and manage benzodiazepine reductions.
* Administer detoxification medications and provide relapse prevention support.
* Perform health care assessments and complete alcohol and opiate detoxification assessments.
* Provide Blood Borne Virus (BBV) screening and vaccinations.
* Collaborate closely with mental health, physical health, and social care services.
* Attend local prescribers meetings and engage in one-on-one clinical supervision to support your professional development.
You'll have the opportunity to shape service delivery and contribute to clinically excellent services, with full training and supervision provided by our Clinical Services Manager and Clinical Lead.
Are You the Ideal Candidate?
If you are:
* A registered nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Council or a qualified Pharmacist with independent prescriber status.
* Confident in managing all aspects of prescribing for opiates and alcohol detoxifications.
* An excellent communicator who is highly organized and capable of developing creative, flexible support packages tailored to individual needs.
* Passionate about helping people and possess a deep level of empathy, understanding, and patience.
