Working for Waukesha Bearings as a Commissioning Engineer, you will be part of a specialist team responsible for the commissioning of new active magnetic bearings installations that we manufacture and servicing existing installations both remotely and on-site when required, on a worldwide basis. Additionally, you will provide support for production testing at our laboratory in Worthing, West Sussex.
For over thirty years, Waukesha Magnetic Bearings has applied proven magnetic bearing technology to enhance the performance of rotating equipment. We lead the industry in custom-engineered active magnetic bearing (AMB) systems for large turbomachinery and high-performing rotating equipment, including turbo expanders, multi-stage natural gas compressors, and electrical motors up to 23MW.
What You Will Bring
* HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or similar qualification
* At least five years of experience in commissioning automation systems
* Knowledge of European safety standards is beneficial
What You Will Do
* Participate in commissioning activities worldwide, including subsystem testing prior to site installation
* Support servicing and troubleshooting on a global basis
* Respond to service call-outs internationally
* Complete system integration and testing according to company procedures
* Provide documentation for testing and commissioning of installations and cabinets
* Assist with cabinet testing
* Ensure all system and cabinet requirements are met by delivery deadlines
* Adhere to safety and quality standards relevant to each country
* Achieve commissioning targets as agreed with customers
* Maintain a professional approach and demonstrate technical competence to customers
* Support business objectives through various duties
* Potentially oversee commercial activities as time permits
* Travel up to 50%, including international travel
