Outreach Tutor (SEND / SEMH) North East Local Authority - Gateshead / South Tyneside Cluster Are you a passionate and experienced tutor looking to make a real difference? We are recruiting Outreach Tutors to support young people who are currently out of mainstream education. This role involves working with learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them re-engage with education through tailored, flexible support. About the Role Deliver 1:1 or small group tuition outside of a school setting Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons Support students with barriers to learning including SEND and SEMH Build positive relationships to encourage confidence and progress Track and report on learner development Location Work available across the Gateshead / South Tyneside Cluster, including: Gateshead South Shields Requirements Experience working with SEND and/or SEMH learners Strong behaviour management and communication skills Flexible and adaptable approach to teaching Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential) What We Offer £27-£35 per hour (depending on experience) Flexible working to fit your schedule
