Lavandula Support provides tailored support for disabled and neurodivergent people in the workplace. We are building a pool of bank staff who can be matched to short-term or ongoing contracts, providing flexible in-work support to help people thrive in employment.
As a Bank Support Worker / Job Coach, you will provide support to people in the workplace, helping them build confidence, develop skills and maintain successful employment. Each placement is unique and may involve supporting people with a range of needs.
You may work independently or as part of a team.
You will receive ongoing training and supervision.
Main Responsibilities
The responsibilities will vary depending on the person we are supporting but you can expect to:
* Provide person-centred support to help people maintain employment or succeed in new roles.
* Support clients to develop workplace skills.
* Assist with understanding job tasks, workplace expectations and professional boundaries.
* Promote independence, confidence and wellbeing at work.
* Uphold confidentiality, safeguarding and equality principles at all times.
* Participate in regular supervision and training opportunities.
Experience:
Understanding of neurodiversity and inclusive workplace practices.
Strong communication, empathy and problem-solving skills.
Experience as a Job Coach or Support Worker.
Familiarity with Access to Work or supported employment programmes.
Experience supporting disabled and/or neurodivergent people in work, education or community settings.
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and listening skills.
Patience, flexibility and reliability.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and manage sensitive situations.
Good written communication and basic digital literacy.

Hourly rate: £17.30-£20.00 per hour
