* Responsible for ensuring the quality and approval of electrical design deliverables, making independent decisions on Electrical Engineering issues.
* Help to maintain & improve Electrical Engineering standards.
* Ensure Safety, Health, and Environment protection are inherent in Electrical Engineering design.
* Provide expert technical support and liaise directly with clients.
* Knowledge of British/European Standards and codes of practice including ATEX.
* Design power distribution and protection systems for LV, MV, and HV.
* Design motor control circuits including VSD applications.
* Conduct protection studies and calculations for LV and MV systems.
* Experience with selection & specification of electrical distribution & control equipment.
* Supervise a team of Engineers & designers for delivery of detailed work packages according to schedule and budget.
* Prepare cost and man-hour estimates.
* Set out Systems Turnover requirements led by QAQC & STO teams.
* Coordinate all project electrical engineering issues related to equipment specification, procurement, and installation design, including procurement strategy, specifications, supplier selection, contract supervision, vendor data review, critical calculations verification, Factory Acceptance Testing, and support during installation and commissioning.
* Monitor electrical engineering document progress via the electronic Document Management System (e-DMS) and Production Controller (e-CDR).
* Manage resources required for the electrical engineering scope of the project.
* Identify when overtime is necessary to meet scope deadlines and obtain approval from the Electrical Discipline Manager.
* Review specifications and drawings for accuracy and compliance.
* Ensure Safety Management System and Quality Assurance requirements are followed throughout engineering phases.
* Provide technical expertise for electrical engineering activities.
* Develop solutions for complex electrical engineering challenges.
* Discuss project deliverables with Engineering Project Managers to ensure timely, cost-effective execution.
* Ensure adherence to all Standard Instructions (SI's) and Department Working Instructions (DWI's) during engineering.
* Visit suppliers and monitor their activities.
* Evaluate bids and documentation from suppliers.
* Stay updated on developments in electrical engineering relevant to the offshore industry and the company's business.
* Make presentations and represent the company to clients.
* Provide feedback to the Electrical Discipline Manager regarding team performance for appraisal purposes.
Experience Requirements
* Design experience including cable calculation, earthing, and containment.
* Electrical Engineering Degree with 5-10 years of experience.
