Job Description
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with schools across Pembrokeshire to recruit SEN / ALN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of additional learning needs.
This is a rewarding role supporting children and young people who may have:
* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
* ADHD
* Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
* Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD / SLD)
* Physical or sensory needs
Roles are available in mainstream and specialist settings, supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.

Key Responsibilities
* Support pupils with ALN to access learning and achieve their full potential
* Implement strategies outlined in Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
* Promote engagement, independence, and positive behaviour
* Work closely with classroom teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
* Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and social development
* Assist with personal care where required (training provided)

The Ideal Candidate
✅ Experience working with children or young people with SEN / ALN
✅ A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
✅ Good communication and teamwork skills
✅ Ability to adapt to different learning needs and environments
✅ Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
✅ Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
