About Stockport County Community Trust
Stockport County Community Trust is the official charity of Stockport County Football Club, which was set up in 2021 after the purchase of the club by Mark Stott, with the aim of ensuring the football club has a positive impact in the local community. The charity works across Stockport and the surrounding area to use the power of football and Stockport County to make a positive difference by inspiring, educating and supporting the community.
The charity engages with around 8,000 people each year through a variety of education, social inclusion and health and wellbeing programmes, working with residents aged from 5-85 (the current age of our youngest and oldest participants) in a variety of club and community settings.
Purpose of the role
Stockport County Community Trust is seeking a qualified Health and Wellbeing Officer to continue to develop the Trust's mission of “using the power of Stockport County FC to make a positive difference by inspiring, educating and supporting our community”.
The postholder will help deliver our brand-new programme, ‘Wellbeing Goals’, funded by the National Lottery which will include delivering a range of physical activity and mental wellbeing projects across our ‘Start Well, ‘Be Well’ and ‘Age Well’ initiatives.

Roles and responsibilities
As the Health and Wellbeing Officer for Stockport County Community Trust, you will work on our brand new ‘Wellbeing Goals’ initiative, a new-three programme which will support Stockport residents to live happier and healthier lives.
The main responsibilities of the post holder would include:
•Working with the Trust's Head of Health and Wellbeing and the wider staff team to develop our brand new ‘Wellbeing Goals’ programme.
•Delivering weekly group physical activity projects to a range of demographics, including those living with long-term health conditions
•Carrying out health checks, motivational interviewing, movement assessments and pre-activity questionnaires
•Supporting mental wellbeing workshops, as part of a weekly timetable
•Delivering social programmes, to help tackle social isolation and loneliness
•Working with the health and wellbeing staff team to develop participation and programme engagement
•Supporting relationships with key stakeholders, including funders and delivery partners
•Being an ambassador for health and wellbeing across Stockport
•Helping to establish new relationships with local partners to enhance delivery
•Collating quantitative/qualitative data, utilise focus groups/ case studies to showcase project outcomes
•Showcasing meaningful health outcomes to demonstrate the importance of Community Club Organisations
There may be a need within this role to work flexible and unsociable hours when required.
