Responsibilities
* To assist in the development of products from concept to launch.
* To be the principal specifications writer and artwork co-ordinator.
* Reviewing, maintaining, and updating current specifications.
* Acting as the central contact for all specification and artwork queries, with the ability to complete customer questionnaires on raw materials.
* Working closely with the Commercial and Production teams to develop, maintain and update current internal specifications.
* Working closely with the Technical team to ensure all customer testing requirements are met.
* To provide support as required by the business.
* Assisting with the internal auditing program, against the requirements of the BRCGS Standard for Food Safety.
* To show a professional approach and lead designated projects.
* Projects may be split so working on multi-customers.
* A strong self-starter who is self-motivated and enthusiastic.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 years\' experience in a purchasing, buying and/or product development role is essential.
* Certified to Level 3 in Food Safety and Level 2 HACCP.
* Experience in a food production environment.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to ensure information is effectively communicated to other Departments.
