Overview
Two Receptionists/First Aiders are sought to join our Student Reception, taking lead roles in providing First Aid support to students and staff within the Student Services Hub. The hub also contains the Attendance Team, Pastoral Administration Assistance and Learning Hub. Colleagues work collaboratively to support our students.
Responsibilities
* Provide First Aid support to students and staff and ensure care plans are fully implemented and updated.
* Liaise with students, parents, colleagues and external agencies about general and medical matters.
* Keep up to date electronic accident records and reports; contribute to health and safety related tasks.
* Handle front-of-house administration and operate IT systems relevant to the role; maintain high standards of written communication.
* Respond calmly and professionally to a variety of situations involving students, staff, parents and external organisations; adapt to a flexible approach as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Full First Aid Certificate or prior experience in a similar role or a commitment to immediate training.
* Experience operating IT systems in a front-of-house setting; ability to work effectively with students, staff and external partners.
* Ability to remain calm in stressful situations, with highly accurate written communication skills.
Details
The working hours are 37 hours per week, 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break. Flexible working arrangements may be discussed at interview.
