Job Description The salary for this role is £57,117 (inclusive of a Specialist Allowance). Onsite working is expected for 3 days each week, however, we actively support requests for flexible working. This role is based at the following site: Culham, Oxfordshire This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions and possibly a search of open source data. The Role As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide engineering support to the Electrical Services Group. You will help ensure the reliable operation, maintenance, and improvement of the Culham site’s power supply infrastructure and low-voltage control systems, while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards. You will carry out fault-finding on electrical plant, deliver robust technical solutions, and lead small to medium work packages involving complex HV/LV equipment, minor installations or modifications, and technical documentation. You will also supervise work on electrical systems to ensure it is carried out safely and effectively. Key Accountabilities: Lead Electrical Services Group work, ensuring all activities and documentation comply with legislation and are delivered safely and effectively. Supervise multidisciplinary teams, including electrical staff, agency workers, and contractors, to support operations. Take ownership of work packages, ensuring technical requirements are met and work is delivered safely and cost-effectively. Prepare and review engineering procedures, risk assessments, method statements, and supplier documentation within budget constraints. Plan, schedule, and optimise maintenance activities using CMMS, maintaining accurate records and improving efficiency and compliance. Provide technical support, training, and mentoring, while advising on electrical design and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
