Food Technology Teacher – Temp to Perm – January 2026 Start
An ambitious and high-performing secondary school in Berkshire is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join their thriving Design & Technology department from January 2026. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, ideal for a teacher who is passionate about practical learning and committed to delivering high-quality education.

They are looking for someone who:
* Is a qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent) and experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4.
* Has a strong understanding of the national curriculum and the ability to plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons.
* Demonstrates excellent classroom management and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
* Is passionate about food education and committed to promoting healthy lifestyles and sustainability.
* Is reflective, resilient, and eager to contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons that challenge and inspire students of all abilities.
* Plan and assess student progress in line with departmental and national expectations.
* Maintain a safe and well-organised learning environment, including the effective use of specialist equipment and resources.
* Contribute to curriculum development and the continuous improvement of teaching and learning within the department.
* Support students in developing practical skills, creativity, and confidence in the kitchen.
