Service Care Solutionsare recruiting on behalf ofone of our clientsfor aRegistered Managerto lead Newton House, a 3-bed children’s home in Wisbech supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and experienced leader to make a lasting impact in a well-established setting.
About the Role As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the home. You’ll guide a dedicated care team, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive the highest standards of care and support for the children.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, therapeutic care for children with emotional and behavioural needs
* Lead, mentor, and develop your staff team through training, appraisals, and supervision
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding legislation and Ofsted standards
* Oversee budgets, staffing, and the strategic development of the home
* Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
* Act as a positive role model for both staff and young people
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior role within a children’s EBD setting
* Level 3 or 4 qualification in Children and Young People’s Workforce
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards)
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and relevant legislation (Children Act 1989, Children’s Home Regulations)
* Experience in financial and budget management
* Full UK driving licence
* Flexibility to participate in the on-call rota
