Senior Lawyer | Vendor Management & Governance | Global Non-Profit (Remote) | Permanent
Our customer, a US-based global non-profit organisation, is seeking a Senior Lawyer – Transactional (Commercial & Procurement) to take ownership of global procurement, commercial contracting, and vendor governance.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise vendor management, the ability to operate independently, and the confidence to advise business leaders on commercial, procurement, and risk-related matters.
Must-Have Requirements
* Qualified UK or US lawyer (Bar licence/qualification).
* Demonstrated experience building and managing enterprise-level vendor management programs (ownership, design and lifecycle).
* Strong experience in commercial law, procurement, and contract management.
* Ability to thrive in a sole counsel or highly autonomous setup.
* Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Charity/non-profit sector experience is advantageous
* Experience in global or mission-driven organisations.
Key Responsibilities
* Build, manage, and optimise an enterprise Vendor Management Program, including policies, processes, and governance frameworks.
* Lead procurement and commercial contracting, from contract drafting to negotiation and execution.
* Act as the primary contract manager, overseeing the vendor lifecycle, risk assessments, and compliance.
* Provide business-oriented legal support across global teams.
* Operate effectively as sole/lead counsel, making decisions and guiding stakeholders with limited oversight.
* Support organisational projects and provide training on procurement best practices where required.
