Tradewind Australia is partnering with an independent school in South-West Sydney to recruit an Assistant Head of Learning Enrichment. This is an excellent leadership opportunity for an experienced educator with a strong interest in inclusive education, student support, and extension programs.
This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in term 2.
About the Role
As Assistant Head of Learning Enrichment, you will play a key role in shaping whole-school approaches to learning support, academic extension, and inclusive practice. You will lead initiatives that support both high-potential learners and students requiring additional support, while building staff capability through coaching and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the development and implementation of whole-school learning enrichment and support strategies
2. Collaborate with teaching staff to strengthen curriculum differentiation and extension pathways
3. Oversee NCCD processes, including identification, documentation, and compliance
4. Provide instructional coaching and mentoring to teachers in evidence-based practice
5. Manage student case processes and liaise with families and external stakeholders
6. Promote a strong, inclusive and student-centred learning culture
About You
7. Proven experience in learning support, inclusive education, or enrichment
8. Strong understanding of differentiation and diverse learning needs
9. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and build staff capability
10. Highly organised, with strong skills in data, compliance, and documentation (NCCD)
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
12. A genuine commitment to student wellbeing, inclusion, and child safety
Requirements
13. Relevant teaching qualification (Special Education or Gifted Education highly regarded)
14. Current NSW Teacher Registration (NESA)
15. Valid Working With Children Check
16. Previous experience supporting students with diverse learning needs
