Role purpose: Provide technical and administrative support to the Rights of Way team, including assisting with the preparation and maintenance of the Definitive Map and Statement. Public and partner liaison: Act as a main point of contact for public enquiries and work regularly with colleagues, local authorities, parish councils, land charge companies, and countryside organisations. Technical and research tasks: Carry out research, surveys, mapping, document preparation, land charge searches, and provide detailed rights of way information for planning applications. Operational administration: Process temporary path closures, manage performance indicator surveys, maintain databases and records, process invoices, and monitor income related to rights of way activities. Skills and knowledge required: Strong map reading, surveying, GIS (e.g. MapInfo), database and Microsoft Office skills, with knowledge of public rights of way legislation and procedures.
