Supervising Social Worker
Location: Hybrid covering a caseload across the Boston region
Overview:
Were working with a highly regarded independent fostering organisation thats looking for an experienced and passionate Supervising Social Worker to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled practitioner who wants to make a genuine difference while working within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The organisation promotes hybrid working, offering flexibility to work from home and the office, with regular visits to foster carers across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a manageable caseload of around 1315 fostering families, providing supervision, guidance, and support.
Build strong relationships with foster carers to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
Participate in the out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
Complete regular supervision visits, annual reviews, and written reports to a high standard.
Work collaboratively with professionals, carers, and families to promote stability and positive change.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fostering legislation, childcare law, and safeguarding requirements.
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration .
Previous experience in fostering or within a childrens social care team (e.g. LAC, safeguarding, or assessment).
Strong understanding of fostering regulations, care standards, and best practice guidance.
Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
