Summary
We are seeking a skilled Unit Manager to join our team at Buckingham Care Home in Penistone, Nr Barnsley. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily operations of our residential units, ensuring high standards of care and support for our residents while embodying our values of compassion and respect.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the unit staff to deliver exceptional care to residents.
* Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
* Foster a positive environment that promotes resident well-being and dignity.
* Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust services accordingly.
* Provide training and support to staff on best practices in senior care.
* Monitor the quality of care provided, addressing any issues promptly.
* Engage with families to maintain open communication regarding resident progress.
* Qualifications
* Proven experience in a managerial role within a nursing home or similar setting.
* Strong knowledge of assisted living regulations and best practices.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Experience in dementia and senior care is highly desirable.
* Ability to develop effective relationships with residents, families, and staff.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Compassionate approach towards caregiving.
