Job Description

At Helixos, we’re shaping the future of cleantech with a focus on nuclear energy and fusion. We're a fast-growing boutique consultancy helping technologies move from lab to market. Our clients include governments, startups, research organisations, and investors. With a growing global footprint, we have offices in Australia, the United States, and the United Kingdom and clients in several other countries.

We’re looking for a Strategy and Commercialisation Lead to work directly with these cleantech pioneers to lead projects that define markets, guide investment, and enable technology adoption worldwide.

Your Role

You’ll lead strategy engagements end-to-end, from shaping project scope to delivering final insights. You’ll mentor junior consultants and collaborate across the Helixos team on commercialisation, communications, and technical advisory.

Your core responsibilities will include:

* Lead complex strategy and commercialisation projects across multiple sectors

* Develop technology roadmaps and market-entry strategies for cleantech innovation, especially in nuclear energy and fusion

* Engage with global clients and stakeholders, from government departments to startup founders

* Guide team members, project manage delivery, and ensure client outcomes are met

* Support clients through their commercialisation journey, from ideation to go-to-market

* Represent Helixos with thought leadership and partnership-building across the cleantech ecosystem, especially in nuclear energy and fusion

Requirements

* Bring a technical background (engineering, physics, or applied sciences), ideally in energy or adjacent sectors

* Can zoom out to macro trends and zoom in to identify actionable commercial paths

* Thrive in a fast-paced, remote team across multiple time zones

* Care about sustainability, energy, and the long-term future of the planet

* Are an excellent communicator with executive presence and clear writing skills

* Have strong project management experience, balancing client needs and internal workflows

* Pay attention to the cultural zeitgeist in technology, startups, and policy, and have an instinct for where the world might be heading

Bonus if you have:

* Experience in the nuclear/fusion sector

* Strong grasp of what it takes to turn technical innovation into viable, scalable solutions in complex, regulated markets

* Business development experience or a strong network in the energy innovation ecosystem

This position is open to individuals who are eligible for employment in Australia, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
This position may involve access to nuclear technical data regulated under U.S. 10 CFR Part 810. To comply with U.S. export control laws, only applicants who are citizens of the United States, Australia, United Kingdom, and/or countries generally authorized under 10 CFR Part 810 will be considered.

Benefits

We don’t just deliver reports, we partner for impact. You’ll be part of a purpose-driven company with flexibility, autonomy, and a global platform. We support diverse career pathways and will co-design your role based on your strengths and ambitions.

* Competitive salary aligned with experience and market

* Remote team with flexible working hours

* Paid leave and retirement savings benefits

* Profit share and bonuses

* Opportunities for leadership and professional development

* High-impact work with innovative global clients

* A values-led team that works with purpose and ambition

Requirements
Extensive experience in strategy consulting, technology commercialisation, or senior leadership within the energy or clean-tech sectors, with a focus on nuclear and fusion. Strong understanding of policy, regulation, and funding landscapes for clean technology and energy. A plus if you have experience in the nuclear and/or fusion sector. Track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex stakeholder environments. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Can zoom out to macro trends and zoom in to identify actionable commercial paths. Pay attention to the cultural zeitgeist in technology, startups, and policy, and have an instinct for where the world might be heading. Thrive in a fast-paced, remote team across multiple time zones. Care about sustainability, energy, and the long-term future of the planet.
