Commis Chef
Location: Bridgwater, Somerset
Salary: £26, per annum (based on a 40-hour contract) + share of service charge and tips
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days from 7 (including evenings, weekends and bank holidays) – no split shifts

The Role
You’ll be working closely with a highly experienced Head Chef, preparing and cooking fresh ingredients to a consistently high standard. The role involves producing food for all areas of the hotel, with a strong focus on a premium branded steakhouse restaurant.
Responsibilities include:
1. Assisting in food preparation and service
2. Ensuring food is cooked and presented to brand standards
3. Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen
4. Supporting the wider kitchen team in day-to-day operations
5. Contributing to a positive and professional working environment
What We’re Looking For
6. Some previous experience in a similar kitchen role is desirable
7. Passion for cooking and delivering exceptional dishes
8. Good communication and teamwork skills
9. Willingness to learn and grow within the role
10. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
