An established and ambitious professional sports organisation is seeking a Marketing & Communications candidate to play a key role in driving brand growth, audience engagement and commercial success.
Working closely with the Head of Marketing, you will develop and implement strategic marketing and communications activity across both men’s and women’s teams. This is a newly developed role with strong progression potential within a dynamic sports environment. This is a hands-on, varied position requiring both strategic thinking and operational delivery, particularly during the summer playing season.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing
* Develop and deliver marketing plans across key areas of the business
* Create reporting frameworks and KPIs to measure campaign success
* Oversee website performance to optimise ticket sales and revenue
* Manage SEO, paid advertising and digital platforms to maximise ROI
* Oversee production of marketing collateral
* Lead direct marketing campaigns to drive sales and engagement
* Collaborate with external agencies to support inclusive growth initiatives
* Support management of the marketing budget
Communications
* Support press and media relations activities, including managing media interviews and image requests
* Deliver annual press and content events
* Proactively generate positive media coverage
* Produce AGM and member communications materials
Matchday & Events
* Liaise with key broadcast and governing body stakeholders
* Oversee live stream production, commentators and crew
* Deliver matchday activations including sponsors and entertainment
* Create matchday scripts and oversee big screen production
About You
* Degree in Marketing, Business or similar
* Experience in a marketing or communications role
* Previous line management experience would be ideal
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Commercially minded and goal-orientated
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
* Flexible approach to working hours, particularly during peak season
* CRM and marketing automation experience
