Overview
Mountjoy School is seeking to increase their bank of Casual Teaching Assistants to work on an as and when basis. This role involves supporting young people who may present with additional needs and requires a strong understanding of child learning and development.
Responsibilities
* Support pupils with additional needs and contribute to their learning and development.
* Follow the school’s guidance and participate in professional development as needed.
Qualifications
* Qualification in English/literacy and mathematics/numeracy, equivalent to at least Level 2 of the National Qualifications Framework (GCSE Grade C/4 or above, or Functional Skills Level 2 passes).
* Certificates must be provided to confirm the qualifications above.
Working Arrangements
* Working times: Monday 8.55am to 4.45pm; Tuesday to Thursday 8.55am to 3.45pm; Friday 8.55am to 3.35pm.
* Due to the needs of the school, we are not able to offer different working hours from those advertised.
* As a casual worker you are not an employee of the Council or the School and are not entitled to contractual benefits.
* There is no obligation for the School to provide work and no obligation for you to accept work when offered.

Keeping Children Safe in Education; online searches of shortlisted candidates will be conducted as part of safeguarding checks. Any searches will consider suitability to work with children and will be performed with care to avoid bias.
