Regional Senior Surveyor 37.5 Hours a Week £58,000 per annum The Camping and Caravanning Club is the world's oldest and largest Club for all forms of camping, and our aim is to help people enjoy the simple pleasures that camping can bring. We are recruiting for a Regional Senior Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee refurbishments, fit-outs, and new development projects from initial brief through to completion. They will also support the ongoing repair and maintenance of the Club’s campsites, ensuring all work is delivered within agreed timescales and budgets, while effectively managing a small team and external consultants and contractors throughout each phase of the project. This role involves travel across the Club’s campsite network, which may include overnight stays. Ideally, the candidate to be based in the Midlands and must have a full UK driving licence. The successful candidate will also be expected to attend our Coventry office at least once per week. Daily duties and responsibilities will include: Lead and develop the in-house surveying team consisting of building surveyors and architectural technician by fostering excellent working relations that focusses on safety, delivery, quality and best value for all projects. Work with other team managers with the property team but also Club wide to ensure consistency and joined up team management. Provide feedback on project progress to the Head of Property, updating on safety, cost, quality, time and environmental metrics. Assess contractor performance where applicable. Generate reports and presentations detailing project / team progress as required by the Head of Property. Manage minor capital work projects and repair requests on the Club network, ensuring pre-inspections are completed of site buildings/property/infrastructure within defined timescales, produce a detailed scope of work and / or specifications, then schedule and manage the works through to completion. To be responsible for the procurement of suitable consultants, contractors and completion of all contracts, specification and tender administration. Complete regular inspections to ensure all projects are completed to a required standard and ensure any issues are resolved ready for completion and handover. This includes conducting pre, mid and post project inspections. Provide technical and legislative knowledge on the development of new schemes including updating key stakeholders. Supervise and audit contractors on regular basis ensuring work meets with all current Health and Safety standards including CDM regulations. Assist with the preparation of drawings and budgetary submissions as required. Provide technical and legislative knowledge on best practice, new products, renewable energy and sustainable opportunities. Contribute to the operation and development of the facilities management system. To work closely within the property team and wider organisation in developing our campsites to ensure Health and Safety compliance, operational and commercial optimisation. This includes attending all necessary meetings and to support the department where necessary. We are looking for the following in applications: Minimum 3 years’ experience in the property and Construction Industry. HNC or ONC in Building Studies or similar construction industry related qualification. Health & Safety awareness & CDM Regulations. Conversant with current legislation and statutory requirements relating to building and inspection works. Effectively plan and organise workloads in a demanding environment with high levels of accuracy with attention to detail. Project manage from design brief through to completion with minimal supervision. Produce and communicate technical information in drawn and written formats.
