Job Introduction

Legal Administrator

Salary: £30,552 - £32,268 per annum plus excellent benefits (The salary advertised reflects the pay award effective from 1st April 2026)

Location: Walsall, West Midlands (minimum of three days in the office, this may increase subject to business needs)

Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week

Closing Date: 3rd March 2026

Interview Date: 12th and 13th March 2026

We're looking for an organised and proactive Legal Administrator to join our Housing Litigation Team, providing high-quality administrative support that helps ensure legal cases are managed effectively and deadlines are met.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administration skills to work within a legal environment and play a key role in supporting housing litigation work that impacts customers and communities.

You'll provide day-to-day administrative support to the Housing Litigation Team, helping to keep cases on track, managing key information and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.

Main job responsibilities:

* Provide a wide range of administrative support to the Housing Litigation Team
* Support the Housing Litigation Manager with reports, management information and statistics
* Receive, process and distribute incoming post, diarising court dates and deadlines in Outlook or ALB
* Monitor and communicate upcoming deadlines to the team
* Maintain electronic files within the case management system (ALB), including scanning, updating and organising documentation
* Update internal databases and maintain daily Excel trackers for live cases
* Prepare professional electronic court bundles in PDF format, including hyperlinked indexes and page numbering
* Support budget management activities such as raising purchase orders and processing payments
* Attend meetings and provide minute-taking support when required
* Contribute to a customer-focused service, responding flexibly to changing needs
* Undertake training and development as required

We're looking for someone who has:

* Experience of working in an administrator role with excellent organisational and administrative skills including the use of Microsoft Office packages (especially Excel).
* Previous experience of working within a legal team desirable but not essential.
* Ability to work flexibly and in a team environment, and to be able to prioritise work to meet a range of deadlines.
* The ability to work in a team environment and be supportive of others and have a "can do" attitude.
* Good communication and analytical skills and the ability to produce data to enable the Housing Litigation Manager to provide reports to the Group Executive, Boards and Committees.
